I wanted Wolfblood to feel real and authentic. As if these teenage werewolves (Wolfbloods), were a natural part of a living landscape.
This idea was central to everything from shooting style and cinematography, through to costume, make-up and art direction.
The CGI sequences were filmed using a handheld, spontaneous, almost documentary shooting style which is not often used in these type of scenes.
The running sequence in Clip 2 uses no post-production VFX. Everything you see is done in-camera...thanks to some very athletic / exhausted actors. Again this is to keep Wolfblood feeling possible.
With the help of a very talented team I feel we have created something both distinctive and memorable.
I have a very soft spot for Wolfblood.
