Hole
Sit-com pilot read-through 2010
Clip Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Image 4'Hole' is a speculative new sit-com created by myself and fellow filmmaker Jamie Smith.
It was written by ourselves, Richard Sclater, Hannah George and Adrian MacKinder.
Concept:
Hole follows the lives of five survivors stuck in a vast underground bunker although what they have survived (if anything) is a matter of some conjecture. A nuclear war? A deadly virus? Are they subjects in an evil experiment? Contestants on an elaborate game show? Our characters have no idea.
Hole: the second most fun you can have with holes.
Development:
Having spent the best part of a year writing the pilot episode we hosted an industry only read-through at the Sketch Gallery in London. We were lucky enough to secure the services of every one of our first-choice cast and the clips included show some of the highlights. We had a great deal of help from the brilliant concept artist Jonathan Maris whose contributions can be seen here. It is currently being developed for Radio.
